Course materials for GB210 (AI-Enabled Business Solutions Lab) at the Wisconsin School of Business — a framework for solving business problems, and the exercises and simulations that train it.
What this is
GB210 prepares you to run business projects of every stripe — consulting engagements, product and software builds, analytics and research work, process improvement — with one shared method. This site holds the method (the SOLVE Framework — five moves that spell its name), the practice sequence (six units of drills and simulations), worked examples at full scale (sponsor scopes), and the working toolkit (reference cards).
Simulations run in the Wisconsin Case Lab, where you interview simulated people from the client company — CEOs, analysts, skeptical executives, all played by AI — to uncover problems and pressure-test your work. Later units integrate data analysis and tool-building with AI coding agents; the skills for that live in the companion course, Vibecoding for Business School Students.

The framework is a synthesis, and it wears its sources proudly. If this course works on you, read both books — each is short and worth owning:
- Josh Seiden, Outcomes Over Output: Why Customer Behavior Is the Key Metric for Business Success (Sense & Respond Press, 2019). The source of the framework's behavior-level thread: the ladder behind the three Bs (his terms: outputs, outcomes, impact), the hypothesis template, and the experiment-first reading of “MVP.”
- Davis Nguyen et al., Case Interview Decoded (2023). The source of the four-part case arc — Opening, Structure, Analysis, Recommendation — that the SOLVE Framework extends, and of the practice philosophy the drills follow: master one element at a time rather than everything at once.
- The framework also draws on the standard consulting canon the course will name as you meet it: MECE decomposition and issue trees, hypothesis-driven analysis, and conclusion-first (Minto-style) communication.
